Our History
The recreation facility closures in 2020 and gradual re-openings created a lack of supply for ice time and hockey training options. As a result, development opportunities geared toward recreational hockey players were minimal and the increase in demand drove prices up substantially.
In 2021, Ottawa Hockey Training recognized a need to offer recreational hockey players opportunities to get on the ice to advance their game, build skills, and receive feedback and coaching at fair pricing. We began to develop plans for on-ice hockey training sessions which enabled registrants to work on their skating, puck control, shooting, and overall game.
The coaches and on-ice helpers we partnered with to offer our training sessions were just as eager to hit the ice to share their knowledge, and experience with our registrants. Now they continue to pass along their passion for hockey to a younger generation.
